Have you ever heard the phone ring, and you knew who it was before you looked? Or you had a feeling that something was going to happen, and it did? Maybe you thought about someone that you love, and you hadn’t talked to them in a while, and then they call you out of nowhere.
Everyone has intuition, and intuition is always speaking to us. This can be a gut feeling, a small voice, or something that causes you to change your mind right at the last second. But listening and acting on your intuition can be two totally different things.
Psychic gifts are not really different than having intuition, but it is something that people often choose to ignore. Intuition has to be listened to, trusted, and developed if you want it to really help you. Psychic gifts come to some people, and not everyone has other gifts, but everyone does have intuition. Anyone can develop their psychic gifts, even though they come naturally; people can make them stronger.
Intuition or psychic gifts can be found with your senses, like clairvoyance, clairsentience, clairaudience, and more.
Do You Have Psychic Gifts or Intuition?
These aren’t necessarily different because they are both psychic gifts, but here are some examples of what psychic gifts are versus having intuition:
- At work, you figure out how to solve a hard problem that comes to you out of nowhere; this is intuition.
- You wonder if your soulmate is going to come to you, and you meditate so that you can see a vision or image of them. This is a psychic gift.
- You hold an object in your hands, and you can know where it has been and what energy is connected to it. This is a psychic exercise.
- You are out eating with a friend, and you know that they are going to order the steak before they tell you. This is intuition.
Developing Your Psychic Gifts
Most professional psychics start out with a natural pull toward the unseen. Whether it’s an early interest in the mystical or simply a quiet knowing they couldn’t explain, there’s usually something in them that has always felt drawn to the spiritual side of life. Many eventually find themselves working with tools like Tarot, astrology, or energy healing. Some prefer to be called sensitives or intuitives, and it all points to the same thing: a deep connection to something beyond the five senses.
What surprises a lot of people is that psychic ability doesn’t always show up with a flash of lightning. For many, it builds gradually. Sometimes it comes after a major life shift, a spiritual awakening, or even a trauma. Other times, it’s been there all along, just waiting to be noticed. What feels like “suddenly becoming psychic” is often just the moment someone finally starts trusting their intuition.
For me, the signs were there as a kid. I could see and hear things other people didn’t—random flashes of light, animals that no one else saw, even what I now understand were energetic beings or auras. But back then, it didn’t feel magical. It was confusing and, honestly, scary. I didn’t have a way to make sense of what I was experiencing, so I remember asking my guardian angel to make it stop. And it did.
Years later, while training to be an energy healer, those same abilities started coming back. I wasn’t trying to be a psychic, but I was just doing my own inner work and learning to hold space for others. But the more I healed, the clearer my senses became. Eventually, I realized I could intentionally grow and trust these gifts, and I did.
Another friend of mine didn’t have the same childhood experiences. Her abilities didn’t show up until puberty, when she suddenly started hearing voices. It was overwhelming, and like many people, she worried something might be wrong. She was tested for hearing issues and even mental illness, but it turned out her intuition had simply found its own way through. Now, that same inner voice is how she tunes in to help her clients.
The truth is that psychic abilities aren’t reserved for a special few. Everyone has intuition. It just takes practice, like playing an instrument or learning to paint. The more you use it, the more natural it becomes. You don’t have to become a professional to benefit from tuning in. Strengthening your sixth sense can help you make clearer decisions, feel more connected to yourself, and live with a deeper sense of trust in your own path.
No matter where you’re starting from, your intuition is already there. You just have to start listening.
“This whole thing sounds like a fairy tale! Do you really expect me to believe everyone can become psychic? What’s next? Teaching us how to fly? 🐇🦄”
“I find it fascinating that so many dismiss their intuitive feelings as mere coincidence. Developing these gifts could lead to deeper self-awareness and understanding of life’s mysteries.”
This article really resonates with me! I’ve always believed in intuition, and it’s amazing to see it validated here. It’s so empowering to know we all have the ability to develop our psychic gifts. 🌟
“Everyone has intuition!” Wow, groundbreaking revelation! 🙄 Next thing you’ll tell me is that the sky is blue. Seriously though, can we take a moment to appreciate how basic this idea is?
“I get your point but some people really do struggle with trusting their instincts. Maybe the article could help them see how valid those feelings are? 🤷♂️”
While the concept of intuition is interesting, I believe it lacks scientific backing. It feels too subjective and open to personal interpretation, which diminishes its credibility as a reliable guide.
Isn’t it ironic how people dismiss these ‘gifts’ until they experience something they can’t explain? Suddenly, intuition becomes their best friend! 😏 Let’s just admit we all have moments of ‘knowing’ that surprise us!
Honestly, I think this is all just a bunch of nonsense. Intuition? Psychic gifts? Sounds like a way for people to avoid taking responsibility for their decisions. We need facts, not feelings!
“Basic or not, everyone experiences those moments! Just because it’s simple doesn’t mean it isn’t profound. We should embrace our instincts instead of ridiculing them! 🌈”
