People often depend on logic, and this leaves them not listening or trusting their intuition. But, if you want to feel more connected to your spiritual self, you have to learn to trust your intuition. You need to ask yourself these questions:

- Do you feel like you have fulfilled your life purpose?

Each day people work hard and are busy and it seems often that we live the same day over and over. It seems like life becomes mundane and we forget that we can reach our divine self. When you learn to trust your intuition and reach your higher self, you will see that life can be better.
Many people don’t know what intuition really is, but it is when you allow your higher being to guide the decisions that you make. We all have this guide inside of us and it can be a gut feeling that we have or a voice that we feel inside of us.
Once we learn to listen to our inner self, we can find that it can lead us and help us to be more fulfilled. Even though intuition is something that is natural inside of us, it can be hard to trust ourselves and to listen to it.
The difference between adults and children is that adults don’t listen, but children are open to their intuition, and they even talk to angels and imaginary friends. Children know that they have a spirit, and they follow whatever their intuition tells them. Even when you were a child, you know what you needed to do in your life such as:
- Experience life to the fullest.
- Find happiness.
- Allow your spiritual to grow.
If you did this as a child, why don’t you do it as an adult? Adults learn to listen to their five senses, and they rely on them to make decisions in their life. Most of the people around don’t feel that they need to use their intuition.
Why Use Intuition?
Intuition is something inside of you and even though it is there, people don’t always listen. This happens because we are taught to be logical and not to rely on our instincts all the time. When you aren’t connected to your intuition, you have to reach your higher self and start listening and trusting it again.
Trusting Your Intuition
Here are some ways that you can practice trusting your own intuition:
Stop Moving So Fast
You need to take time to slow down and stop moving so fast. Take time to be quiet and to listen. This can help you to have a more fulfilled life and to be happier. You have to learn to tune into what your heart is trying to tell you. Ask yourself these things:
- What do I want in my life?
- Should I start a new career?
- Should I get married?
- What is my heart saying?
We feel that we have to always be doing something or else we aren’t getting things done but that isn’t true. You have to learn to calm down, think less, feel your emotions and be more mindful in what you need to do.
Go to Nature
Once you learn to trust your intuition you will see that you feel better. Take a break in your mind and relax. One great way that you can do this is to connect with nature. Go outside and listen to the birds, smell the air and ground yourself.
Being outside can ground you and you can make this even stronger by putting your feet in the grass or even hugging a tree. By having quiet time, you can open up to your intuition.
Be Here Now
Listen to what you need and be connected and present. You have to learn to be in the moment and not to be thinking about all the other things that you need to do. Doing this can leave you feeling connected.
When you begin to think about things you need to get done it causes you to disconnect and you will miss what your intuition is trying to tell you.
Meditation is one of the best ways that you can quiet your mind and relax. This doesn’t have to be something you do all day but just a few minutes each day. Spend time meditating and connecting with your inner being.
Take a few minutes each day to focus on yourself breathing and clearing your mind. If you don’t feel that you are good at this, try group meditation.
A great way to connect with your intuition is to be creative. Even when you don’t feel creative, create something. Don’t listen to logic but listen to what your intuition is trying to tell you and show you about yourself.
Sit down and paint something, draw something or create something. You can try scrapbooking or even decorating your home. Do something you have fun doing.
Inspiration can make you passionate and this is a way that you can be more open to your intuition. If you have to get something done and something inspires you, listen to it. Do things that make you feel good such as creating a video journal, helping at a shelter, traveling to somewhere you have never been.
Your intuition will guide you even when it is something fun that you might need to do. When you get excited and inspired about something, don’t hesitate but do it.
Increase Your Vibrational Frequency
We are all full of energy and we have our own vibrations. When you feel good your vibrations are higher but when you feel bad, they lower. Do things that make you feel good and will raise your vibrations.
When you raise your vibrations, it allows you to trust yourself even more and to be inspired with new things.
Do Small Things
As you are trying to trust your intuition, do small steps. You don’t have to jump both feet in, but you can go slow. Here are some ways you can start listening to your intuition:
- When you want to buy a gift, listen to what your intuition tells you.
- If you want to eat healthier food, listen to what your intuition is telling you that your body needs.
- If you aren’t sure what you should wear, listen to what feelings you are having.
Your intuition will guide you in big things but also in the small things. Ask your intuition to guide you and to help you make good decisions.
Journaling is a way that you can increase your intuition. Here are some things to write about:
- Make a list of all the things that you are thankful for.
- Write down decisions you have to make and keep asking yourself why and what to do.
- Journal in your mind what a perfect day would be like for you.
Our bodies are just a small part of our being and when you listen to your intuition and let it guide you, you can see that you can connect with your spiritual self. By strengthening your inner being relationship, you will see that you will trust your intuition more and more.
