A crystal ball is often used for divination, and this is a ball that is made of glass or crystal. This is sometimes used by fortune tellers and is called scrying. Sometimes the crystal ball is put on a stand so that the clairvoyant can look into the ball and get answers.
The crystal ball has been around since ancient times and was talked about by Pliny the Elder who called this a “crystallum orbis,” and it was used by soothsayers. A little later, it became popular in the Roman Empire and was a tool used for divination.
During the Victorian Era, this was used to help people get answers and most of the time the reader would use the ball at dusk when the sun was almost set, and this would put a mist around the ball where the clairvoyant could see visions.
Predictions Through Scrying
Scrying is when someone using a crystal ball is able to see things in the ball. This can be images or objects. There are ways that you can scry, and this means you can use fire, water, or crystal balls to look and see images but the most popular is using the crystal ball. Some call this crystallomancy or crystal gazing. Some people will fill the crystal ball with smoke so that images can be seen. There are different colored smoke that means different things:
- Blue: Means being successful.
- Gold: Increasing your cash or having more romance.
- Green: Happiness and health.
- Orange: Emotions that are negative, anger or frustration.
- Red: Danger ahead.
- White: Good fortune.
- Yellow: Things standing in your way.
- Gray: Warning.
- Black: Danger or warning.
Using a Crystal Ball
When you do your own crystal ball readings, you need to find a place that is quiet and where you won’t be disturbed. You want to do this so that you can concentrate on what you are doing.
After you pick your spot, make sure that you cleanse your area by smudging or using incense. You can also choose to turn the lights low, light some candles or do what it takes to make the area calm.
Meditate in your area and make sure that you are focused on what you want to get out of the scrying.
Put your hands on the crystal ball and let the energy flow from the ball to you and from you to the ball. Take your hands off and then look deep into the ball but keep your gaze soft.
Ask your question and really think about it until smoke shows. See if you see an image forming. Remember, be patient when you do this because it can take time and practice. Also, if you are new at this, you can practice and increase your skills. As you increase your skills, the images will be easier to see.
Be thankful to your crystal ball for giving you the images and then wrap your crystal ball in a velvet cloth so that you can store it safely. If you need to charge it, you can put it on the windowsill and let the light of the moon rest upon it all night.
